What Are the Entry Requirements?
- You must be at least 18 years old at the time of applying for admission.
- Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory completion of studies in their home country equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification, OR successful completion of a qualification from an institution where the mode of instruction was English and the course duration was no less than 12 months.
- Mature-age students who do not meet the minimum education requirements will also be considered if they possess relevant work experience within their chosen area of study and a demonstrated capacity to meet course requirements.
- Participation in a course entry interview is necessary to assess your suitability for the course and determine your specific student needs.
- The interview will also include a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment.
- To be eligible for entry, you must achieve an Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) level of 4 in reading, writing, numeracy, digital and oral communication.
- An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.5 or equivalent is required. Test results must be no more than 2 years old.
- Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following: education for a minimum of 5 years in an English-speaking country; completion of at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO); or successful completion of an English Placement Test.
- Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL may be accepted, provided the results are equivalent to IELTS 6. You are required to provide your test results for verification.
- In addition to the general entry requirements above, applicants must have either completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions), or possess two years of full-time equivalent relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role within an enterprise.
